FOREST

None of us need fixing, but we all need a little help sometimes.

A work for & with five dancers created for & with Cie Beweggrund, Bern, Switzerland.

Inspired by the world of plants and ecology - the relationship between different organisms and between organisms and their environment - FOREST is a meditation on dependency, independence, interdependence, and the offer and acceptance of help. Who do we think needs support and who do we expect to be able to do everything themselves? What assumptions do we make about others and what about ourselves? How do we read each other's bodies based on what we see or don't see? How do we ask for support and how do we give it to others?
