Annie creates tailors her sessions to the needs & different focus of each group she works with as much as possible, and her ongoing interest in what high-quality, challenging, and accessible dance practice looks like drives her to continually re-investigate her approach.

As a dancer with a non-normative physicality, Annie draws from her own bodily experience in the mainstream contemporary dance world, as well as her wide-ranging experience working with movers in a range of different settings: professional dancers both disabled and non-disabled, community groups, national & international settings, dance companies for both emerging and established artists, higher-education dance institutions, as rehearsal director,  and wants to create spaces for dancers of all abilities to deeply study movement in a way that makes sense for them.

Annie's sessions vary in content but at their core will always connect to the pleasure of moving, dancing in a supportive & generous environment, and the simple joy of getting sweaty to good music.

In collaboration with other artists: Annie designed & delivered a series of week-long accessible professional development Labs across the UK as part of the collective AnnieVickySarah. She lead a Doing Day workshop for adults from a range of different backgrounds with Louise Ahl at Siobhan Davies Dance, delving into the improvisation methodologies she developed as part of her work Exercises in Telepathy.
